Towers, and the Flowers Remaining

There is a growing awareness that how we are choosing to live is having a dramatic, and potentially irreversible, degradative effect on our planet. Towers, and the Flowers Remaining, released 17th September, 2014, explores the idea of environmental collapse through the creation of floral forms derived from skeletal anatomy. The works reflect on the fragile being the first to fade, and while intrinsically beautiful, hint to a bleak future landscape where the arrangement of bones may be the only flowers remaining. Floral pieces are joined by clawed designs linked to the possibility of limited freedoms in the future as a result of the excessive liberties we grant ourselves today.

Pieces in this collection are based on the original designs for the Greensmith exhibition (hosted at Artisan in 2014 and exhibited in San Francisco in 2016) along with other short series work and one-of-a-kind designs. Each piece is individually handmade made using solid Sterling Silver, Gold or Bronze.
