Rare | Exhibition

Each piece in this collection has been created around a one-of-a-kind diamond. While diamonds are often selected based on characteristics like symmetry and clarity, these have been chosen for their distinctive presence. As a result, each has its own unconventional quality, from enchanting patterns of inclusions to translucent natural surfaces that stir the imagination. Organically formed gold rings with finely created hand details respond to these unique and ancient crystals.

These works were presented at 'Rare', an exhibition at Pieces of Eight Gallery July 20 - August 21. Pieces include the In Search of Wonder Halo Ring below, featuring a halo of gold, green sapphires, and diamond surrounding and responding to a one-of-a-kind uncut diamond. The diamond’s naturally formed smooth facets and translucent peaks give way to valleys and complex surfaces, with silhouettes obscured deep beneath the surface.

Eudaimonia Cluster Ring

At the center of this ring rests a diamond decorated with a uniquely beautiful pattern of fine dark inclusions. Reflective, transparent, and still, yet the interior stirs. To celebrate this special diamond is a vibrant cluster of rich yellow Australian sapphires, set amidst an arc of yellow gold and white diamond accent.

In Search of Wonder Uncut Diamond Ring

An orange glow resides within the grey translucent ridges of this uniquely formed diamond. Raw textured surfaces transition to pathways of finely patterned details inlaid with brilliant-cut salt-and-pepper diamonds.
